Kate McGlinchey is the Economic Development Manager for Old City District, where she leads business attraction and retention efforts, serves as the liaison between businesses and government, and works on strategic planning and long-term neighborhood improvement projects.
Kate moved to Philadelphia in 2007 to attend Temple University, and has called Philadelphia home ever since. After graduating from Temple with a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science, Kate spent several years working as a political staffer, including her role as statewide scheduling director for Governor Wolf’s successful 2014 campaign. Mistakenly thinking grad school would involve more sleep than political campaigns, Kate enrolled at the University of Pennsylvania’s Fels Institute of Government, earning her Master of Public Administration degree in 2016. During grad school, Kate worked at S.R. Wojdak & Associates, helping handle government relations strategy in City Hall.
In her free time, Kate enjoys reading, working out, and exploring restaurants in her East Passyunk neighborhood. She cares more about zoning than is probably healthy. Email Kate.
