Carina Daniels is the co-founder of Story & Reach Communications, a strategic communications firm specializing in climate change, clean energy and environmental justice. She works with nonprofits across the country that promote a clean energy economy that benefits all people, regardless of race, income or zip code. One of her favorite projects so far: Securing media coverage about a formerly abandoned school in Buffalo, New York that was turned into a solar-powered community center and affordable housing for low-income seniors.
Carina is a California native who moved to Philadelphia from San Francisco in 2015. As someone who likes to walk everywhere, Carina much prefers the flat streets of Philly to hilly SF. Carina also enjoys running the Schuylkill River Trail, going dancing on the weekends, and holding a monthly virtual book club with a good friend in California.
Carina graduated from UC Berkeley with degrees in English Literature and Conservation and Resources Studies. In addition to her involvement with YIP, Carina volunteers with Big Brothers Big Sisters.
