Alyssa has lived in cities on both east and west coasts, but Philadelphia is the first to feel like home. She moved here in 2012 after receiving her BFA from University of Delaware with a concentration in photography and video. In 2017, she became a student of Nonprofit Leadership at the University of Pennsylvania’s School of Social Policy and Practice. She chose to continue her education in the study of nonprofits to conceptualize methods of improving the nonprofit ecosystem and funding model. Her educational focus has been on identifying structural issues common in organizational operations, ethical nonprofit practices, and planning for future challenges. Alyssa has worked in fundraising for the Philadelphia Film Society and Moore College of Art and Design. She is currently employed as a digital media developer at the Penn Museum, working to enhance the Museum’s online presence and develop new video content.
In her free time, Alyssa can be found exploring Philly’s top-tier food scene, snuggling with her two cats, or stress baking sourdough.
